Candle Care & Safety
A few simple rituals keep your candle burning beautifully — and safely — from the first light to the last.
Before you light
- Trim the wick to about ¼ inch (6 mm) before every burn.
- Set your candle on a stable, heat-safe surface, away from drafts, curtains, and anything flammable.
The first burn
- Let the wax melt all the way to the edges of the jar (about 2–3 hours). This prevents tunnelling and gives an even, long-lasting burn.
Every burn after
- Burn for no more than 4 hours at a time.
- Keep away from children and pets, and never leave a burning candle unattended.
- Stop using once about ½ inch of wax remains.
