Candle Care & Safety

A few simple rituals keep your candle burning beautifully — and safely — from the first light to the last.

Before you light

  • Trim the wick to about ¼ inch (6 mm) before every burn.
  • Set your candle on a stable, heat-safe surface, away from drafts, curtains, and anything flammable.

The first burn

  • Let the wax melt all the way to the edges of the jar (about 2–3 hours). This prevents tunnelling and gives an even, long-lasting burn.

Every burn after

  • Burn for no more than 4 hours at a time.
  • Keep away from children and pets, and never leave a burning candle unattended.
  • Stop using once about ½ inch of wax remains.
